 New Products
   Mitigate risk of gas leaks
SAMON, A REFRIGERANT gas detection manufacturer headquartered in Vellinge, Sweden, has released a new refrigerant gas detection solution.
The GLACIÄR MIDI was presented at the EuroShop trade fair in Germany last month.
Refrigerant leakage is an ongoing challenge for food retailers and many other organisations.
The implementation of effective refrigerant gas detection can help mitigate the risks of leaking cooling systems.
SAMON managing director, Tom Burniston, said there was a lot of interest in the product at EuroShop
“We had brand new products to talk about
that can really help our customers to stay safe, protect the environment, and reduce food waste,” he said.
In addition to the GLACIÄR MIDI refriger- ant gas detector, SAMON is developing solu- tions that can be integrated with refrigerated display cases and other self-contained cooling systems.
“Safety is of paramount importance in the deployment of refrigerant detection solutions because refrigerant gases present risks of asphyxiation, fire and explosion, toxicity, and oxygen displacement,” Burniston said.
“Refrigerant gas detection can also help mitigate the release of gases with significant global warming potential which are harmful
to the environment.” Refrigerant gas detec- tion can also be used as an early warning system for system failures as well as
food spoilage.
It can alert technicians
to the need for system repair.

                   Indoor CO2 transmitter
DWYER INSTRUMENTS HAS announced the availability of its new Series CDT S Carbon Dioxide Transmitter.
The Series CDT S can accurately monitor CO2 concentration and temperature in indoor environments.
Built upon Dwyer’s standard carbon dioxide transmitter, the -S option has a front-facing LED that illuminates when the CO2 level exceeds 1100 PPM.
It is ideal for schools and classrooms and offers multiple sensing capabilities.
It is designed for simple installation with backplate electrical terminations. The trans- mitter reduces the number of installed devices by using integral temperature sensing.

Rhoss Poker R290
R290 heat
pump range
AFTER A COMPLETE catalogue of prod- ucts with A2L refrigerants, Rhoss has intro- duced a new range with R290.
The POKER290 range features high-tem- perature and low GWP reversible heat pumps with a scroll compressor.
The new range is available in one size that can be coupled up to four units through the new integrated sequencer SDR, covering a capacity from around 48 up to 190kw.
It is ideal for customers seeking carbon free systems or to replace traditional boiler systems.
Thanks to the introduction of this new product, it is now possible to offer Fluorine- free refrigerant units for new installations, as well as building renovation with integra- tion or total replacement of existing heating system, including gas boilers.
This eco-friendly solution also has extended operating limits with hot water production up to 75°C, and 65°C hot water with external air down to -12°C (working range limit -20°C).
Cold water production from -10°C up to 20°C with external air up to 50°C.
Rhoss Dynamic Sequencer integrated in the units as well as option V3V, a three way diverting valve for DWH production.
