FIX AUTO HAS APPOINTED ITS FIRST
strategic partner in Queensland Australia. Claydon Panel Works has operated in Mackay for over 25 years. Director Marty Wheeler said: "Joining Fix Auto was a crit- ical part of our desire to implement change in our business to ensure we can continue to thrive in a rapidly changing industry. We wanted to join a group of like-minded business owners to promote high quality repairs and drive standards in excellence such as I-CAR training. There's also added value from maximising the group buying potential with its leading global supply partners which provides even the model
with even greater value."
Scott Holden, head of sales for QLD &
NSW for Fix Auto said: “Claydon Panel
Works are the perfect fit for our business. They have the passion and enthusiasm to deliver at the highest level and they em- brace the changes needed to thrive in a consolidating industry that is under in- creasing pressure from all sides".
Cockburn Toyota in WA has also joined the network. The new Fix Auto Cockburn location will give Fix Austral- ia its first point of representation in the south of Perth.
Commenting on the decision to join Fix Auto, Mark Mcdonnell said: “We repre- sent undoubtedly the world’s strongest brand in our sales and service business and we know how important that is when you need support, scale and opportunity.
We see the Fix Auto brand as being able to give us and other independent repairers that same strength and scale in the colli- sion space. We look forward to leveraging their systems, process and operational support to grow a very important part of our business”.
Stuart Faid, Regional Vice President said: “ Cockburn Toyota is an outstand- ing business that holds itself to the very highest standards, they are meticulous in everything they do and are complete- ly focused on delivering excellence to customers. They represent all of our own values perfectly and are a great cul- tural fit for us. We are delighted to wel- come them to the Fix Family”.
“Women currently represent approxi- mately 20 percent of the automotive work- force, a figure largely unchanged for the last 20 years, with over representation in administration and sales-related roles.
The Elevate Initiative program will work to develop aspiring women to reach the next level of their career by providing the necessary networks and leadership skills to move into more senior positions.
Women working in the automotive indus- try can apply now for the scholarship sup- ported places. Visit: wla.edu.au/elevate.
