The second generation, Richard’s son Grant and wife Lesley began to take over the reigns in 2008. There are five family mem- bers working in the business including Rich- ard’s daughter Michelle. Many of the loyal staff have been working with with Nathans since the 1970’s. The business prides itself on operating with the same family princi- pals of quality workmanship and exception- al customer service.
Every aspect of the business is carried out professionally and creatively. There are marketing programs which connect with customers and work providers and a strong social media involvement. Cur- rently Nathan’s post between 1-3 times per week on Twitter, Instagram, Linked- In, Facebook but plans to increase its so- cial media footprint
The company has invested in a new CRM which will enable it to send out newsletters and other correspondence to potential and existing clients, to keep them informed about the industry.
All clients receive an email the week after their vehicle has been collected, thanking them for using Nathans and re- questing any feedback (positive or nega- tive). All feedback then goes through a ‘feedback’ process which involves those that worked on the job. Its also further dis- cussed at monthly meetings and quarterly system review meetings. All clients re- ceive updates on their claim via email, SMS or phone call.
Nathan’s has been an industry leader for decades and continues to invest in staff, equipment and training to stay at the forefront of industry and technologi- cal changes.
To ensure the best outcomes for the in- dustry Nathan’s work tirelessly with a number of industry organisations such as; Australian Heavy Vehicle Repairer Associ- ation; MTA NSW; PPG Fleetpool; I-Car; AMBRA and Industry Government Monitoring Group (Transport NSW). Nathan’s has been instrumental in en- suring changes in legislation to ensure safe repairs, including the NSW written off heavy vehicle register, and in raising awareness of the dangers of unlicenced repairers carrying out truck repairs.
