FACTS AT A GLANCE:
What’s the relationship between Collins
Over the past two decades, we’ve provided leading technolo- gy solutions for both the aerospace and
defence industries in-country. We have a broad portfolio of offerings from our seven strategic business units which include aerostructures, avionics, interiors, connected aviation solutions, mechanical systems, mission systems, and power and control systems. Our products and services span the commercial, re- gional, business aviation and military sectors.
Aerospace in Australia and Raytheon
Australia?
Collins Aerospace is a unit of Raytheon Technologies Corp. along with Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon Intelli- gence & Space and Raytheon Missiles and Defense. Raytheon Australia, established in 1999, has been com- mitted to developing a truly sovereign workforce and comprehensive defence capability for Australia, with a team of 1,500 employees delivering high-tech capability spanning across all domains. Now that both Collins Aerospace and Raytheon Australia have come together as part of the same enterprise, we can collaborate to bring even better solutions to our customers.
The full potential of Collins – whether in Australia or anywhere else in the world – resides in the complementa- ry capabilities that exist across Collins and across Raythe- on Technologies. These capabilities aren’t only on aircraft, but in emerging segments in the broader airspace, wheth- er that’s commercial airspace or the battlespace.
Through this combined strength, along with the key relationships we’ve forged with customers and the opportunities to partner across the enterprise to bring our strong product and technology portfolios to life, we have the power to innovate our way toward a more connected, efficient and sustainable future.
What are you doing about sustainability?
Collins Aerospace has long recognised the value of sustainable practices. Since 1992, we have implemented sustainability initiatives across our businesses designed to reduce the impact of our activities on the environ- ment and strengthen the economic health of future generations.
We innovate for – and with – our customers to drive more sustainable solutions that solve unique business challenges and pave a better path for the industry and our planet. Across the industry, suppliers, airframers, airlines and allies are all advancing new and expanded efforts in sustainability, and many look to Collins Aerospace for technologies and solutions to help meet lofty goals.
We have also conducted a number of EH&S-driven initiatives around reduction of waste materials, reduc- tion in power and general environment impact reduc- tion. This includes replacing all lighting in both build- ings at the Sydney facility with energy-efficient LED lighting, and climate control initiatives in our facilities to reduce power consumption. ■
