Lion has released its latest low carb beer, with Hahn Ultra Low Carb having less than one gram of carbs per bottle.
Hahn head R&D brewer Graeme Gibson said that with no compromise on the malty beer taste, the beer profile result is a perfect balance of flavour and easy drinking crispness.
“With ultra-low carbs and a low bitterness. It’s made for those who want the rewarding taste of beer, but don’t want to blow out on carbs and calories,” said Gibson.

Charlie’s Fine Food Co has released its new Mish Mash Cookies range, inspired by the famous New York ‘Compost Cookie’, complete with a no-waste compostable wrapping.
Australian made and owned, Mish Mash Cookies combine a random mix of sweet and salty flavours. Charlie’s says it has tapped into a global trend, combining crumbs and other snack remnants to create delectable cookies. The family run bakery has also taken the ‘no waste’ concept a step further by using fully home compostable wrapping for the Mish Mash Cookies range.

     A NEW MOCHA BREW
Frucor Suntory has expanded its popular Suntory BOSS Coffee range with Iced Mocha to round out its ready-to-drink coffee options in Australia and New Zealand.
Frucor Suntory says the introduction of Iced Mocha increases the appeal of ready-to-drink coffee with a new taste profile that offers more choice and complements the current range of Suntory BOSS Coffee which is already available in Iced Long Black, Iced Double Espresso, and Iced Latte flavours such as caramel and vanilla.
Brewed using the Japanese brewing ‘flash brew’ method, Suntory BOSS Coffee Iced Mocha is now available at major retailers and convenience stores across Australia and New Zealand.
       BEGA ENTERS PLANT-BASED CHEESE MARKET
Bega has created a plant-based cheese, 100 per cent dairy free and made using five per cent fava bean protein, available in sliced and shredded formats.
The cheese is made in Bega’s Strathmerton factory and cut in the Bega Valley plant. It is the first plant-based cheese style range under the Bega name since it began in 1899. According to Mintel, 25 per cent of Australians are consuming plant-based dairy, whether they are vegans, vegetarians, or fl xitarians.
Bega Plant Based Cheese marketing manager, Niamh Farrell said, “Bega’s Plant Based Cheese range has undergone sensory testing to create a smooth, creamy, cheese-style product that delivers on texture and taste. It has a great cheesy flavour and most importantly, it melts in toasties!”
