A FINE FUNCTIONAL MIST
EXAIR’S Atomizing Spray Nozzles create a fine liquid mist for washing, coating, cooling, dust control, and more. The nozzles offer an assortment of flow rates and patterns including flat fan, round and hollow cone patterns and are highly effective with a wide range of liquids for a variety of industries.
Combining liquid and compressed air, Atomizing Nozzles can be easily adjusted to fit the application’s demands. EXAIR Air Atomizing Nozzles come in three distinct styles including internal mix, external mix, and siphon fed.
The stainless-steel construction of the nozzles adds to their durability and corrosion resistance. EXAIR Atomizing Nozzles are available in 1/8”, 1/4”, and 1/2”, and there are also patented No Drip models available for processes needing to conserve precious liquids or protect product finishes.
UNBREAKABLE SPRINGS
NEW hollow-core rubber and
fabric Marsh Mellow springs
developed by air spring producer
Firestone cannot break or corrode like
metal springs and are clean and silent in use.
Marsh Mellow springs are quiet in operation, unlike steel springs which readily transmit high frequency structural noise and often suffer from coil chatter. A failing coil spring may crack, causing fragments of the coil to damage equipment, resulting in expensive downtime. This problem is eliminated with Marsh Mellow springs, which are tolerant of overload.
The cylindrical springs, developed by Firestone, are constructed of a solid rubber core with a hollow centre and several plies of fabric-reinforced rubber as an outer cover. The plies provide the springs with stability as well as a consistent cylindrical shape.
TIME FOR A TUBULAR PUSH
BÜHLER has launched a new 8-inch TUBO tubular push conveyor, offering malting and brewing, milling, coffee, oat flakes, and animal feed processing industries to benefit from an increase of 80 per cent of throughput capacity, reaching up to 43 tons per hour.
The 8-inch TUBO follows the simple and effective principle of pushing instead of pulling. Loose pusher elements called TUBITs are pushed inside the tubular construction moving material gently from inlets to outlets. The TUBO also significantly lowers energy consumption
through reduced friction in the conveying process and offers maximum flexibility and efficiency. Thanks to the modular construction and low weight of individual components, the system can be easily assembled by a small team. The plug and play TUBO comes equipped with its own controls and is fully operational within a minimum of time.
DEPACKAGE AND COMPRESS
New to Australia, the WEIMA-Puehler Depacking, Dewatering and Compression series has been developed for cost effective and reliable management of packaged production waste.
Distributed by WEIMA’s long standing partner in Australia, CEMAC technologies, the Puehler series contains label presses, can presses, recycling and packaging presses, rework presses, and chip presses.
These allow efficient dewatering and compressing a range of packaging applications such as plastic bottles, Liquid Paper Boards, aluminium cans and much more.
Until now, rejects, production defects and defective batches have had to be disposed of expensively because the contents are still in the packaging.
Through CEMAC technologies you can get the all-inclusive package. Once filled, the machine separates the contents from the packaging in one process step. The packaging itself is compressed. The discs produced are ideally suited for paper, plastic, or metal recycling. The contents can be disposed of properly or reused.
Made from stainless steel with special welding seams to prevent contamination, food grade oil and a low-maintenance, fully automatic cleaning system within the machine ensures hygiene standards are met and allows high machine availability.
WEIMA-Puehler dewatering machines and presses are simple and easy to maintain and can be integrated into any production line.
With the recovered output, high-quality goods can be produced again, saving waste disposal costs, and reducing food and packaging lost to landfill.
CEMAC technologies is the Australian distributor of WEIMA machines.

FOURTH GENERATION COMPRESSION
BOGE has released its new S-4 series of screw compressors for the 45 to 75 kW performance range. Customers can now benefit from efficient, quiet and reliable running to simplified servicing.
The energy use of the new
75 kW compressor has been reduced by over 12 percent compared with its predecessor, while the free air delivery has increased by almost 9 percent. The generously sized components reduce internal pressure losses, and with a footprint of just 1.20x2.00 metres, the housing of the new models is considerably smaller than its older siblings.
These new compressors come with the particularly high- performance, low-energy IE4 motors and permanent magnet motors fitted as the industry standard, and maintenance takes place from two sides, with both the oil and air coolers able to be easily be removed and cleaned.
