40 years of end- of-line expertise
UK headquartered Endoline Automation, recognised as one of the global leaders in end-of-line packaging machinery, is marking four decades of engineering excellence.
FOUNDED in 1981, Endoline Automation is an award-winning designer and manufacturer of end-of-line packaging systems.
From its beginnings as a devel- oper of small case-taping machines, Endoline has evolved the business and today specialises in creating
systems that deliver the lowest cost of ownership in a wide range of applica- tions from semi-automatic machines, through to fully automatic, high- speed, customised machinery.
The company is under the direc- tion of Andrew Yates, the third gen- eration within the Yates family to hold the position of managing direc- tor after the business was founded by Andrew’s grandfather, Ron Yates, 40 years ago.
Supplying a comprehensive range of equipment including case erec- tors, case sealers, conveyor sys- tems, case packers and handpack- ing stations, Endoline works with a range of companies, from SMEs automating their packing lines for the first time, to global blue-chip manufacturers. Working across the full breadth of food and bever- age sectors, Endoline also creates end-of-line solutions for pharma- ceutical, e-commerce and FMCG manufacturers.
Over recent years, the company has engineered many bespoke solutions to suit specific customer requests, including random, high-speed case erecting and sealing systems which meet manufacturer needs for machin- ery handling a vast range of case sizes to suit retail demand.
With a reputation for supplying reliable, innovative and high quality products, supported by exceptional customer service, Endoline today holds a substantial footprint in most of the UK’s major food producer’s manufacturing sites.
Being a family-run business – with design, customer service, sales, operations and engineering all under one roof – has played an inte- gral role in the success of Endoline, and helped the company diversify over the years.
In 2008 the company turned its attention to overseas market devel- opment and, with a clearly defined export strategy, achieved exponen- tial growth with a presence in over 40 countries, and a global network of distributors.
To cover
New Zealand market, Endoline has appointed Metric Engineering Solutions as the exclusive distribu- tor, installer and service agent for the entire range of Endoline products.
Having a finger on the pulse of the international market has also helped Endoline create and develop several new innovative systems, including the 744, fully automatic, random case sealer – the fastest system of its ilk on the global market.
Through Endoline’s relationship with leading global food manufac- turers, the company has become increasingly aware of the demand for robotic integration, particularly as companies moved away from manual labour.
Consequently, in 2019, Endoline formed a strategic partnership with Fanuc in a bid to meet the ever-growing demand for fully automated end of line systems, which increasingly require robotic solutions.
Under a newly launched, sister com- pany, Endoline Robotics Limited, it now manufactures, markets and installs robotic palletising systems. ■
