Intelligent refrigerant control
THE FUJITSU GENERAL AIRSTAGE series continues to deliver exceptionally efficient and reliable systems with the introduction of the new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) IV Series.
Launched in Australia in 2002, the Fujitsu General AIRSTAGE Series provides air condi- tioning solutions with design and installation flexibility, optimal comfort, high energy efficien-
cy and consistent reliability for a wide range of projects.
Transitioning the existing J-IIS, J-III, J-IIIL and VR-II to the new IV Series includes the introduction of new software that offers greater refrigerant control to Fujitsu’s VRF solu- tions for residential and com- mercial applications.
The new IV series is supported with a full training program.
Sealant to prevent leaks
RECTORSEAL LLC HAS introduced AC Leak Freeze Pro, a refrigerant leak sealant applicator for residential and commercial re- frigeration and air conditioning systems.
AC Leak Freeze Pro is an 11.5-in-long ap- plicator that consists of a flexible, transparent refrigeration hose and an attached copper reservoir, which contain a total 1.46-ounces of the same ac leak sealant formula as the d syringe-based AC Leak Freeze injector.
AC Leak Freeze Pro doesn't require a system pump down with R-410A systems and safely withstands all typical refrigerant pressures.
The Pro applicator is designed for use with 1.5 to six tonne systems and is availa- ble with both the blue AC Leak Freeze and green AC Leak Freeze with Magic Frost for- mulas, the latter which contains a com-
pressor life-extending lubricant additive. One side of the hose connects to the refrig- eration system's low side. The AC Leak Freeze formula is propelled into the system within seconds once the hose's reservoir is connect- ed to either the high side or a refrigerant cyl-
inder via a charging manifold.
The disposable, one-time-use, AC Leak
Freeze Pro applicator's nylon hose, brass fit- tings, and copper reservoir are all 100 per cent recyclable.
Officials also said the patent-pending refrig- erant leak sealant formula is not moisture acti- vated and doesn't use polymers that can poten- tially clog compressors, recovery/evacuation units, Schrader valves, capillary tubes, TXV valves, micro channels, or manifold gauges.

The new Intelligent Refrigerant Control fea- ture can be activated by a function setting that improves the control of evaporator temperature.
This is achieved by changing the compressor logic, varying refrigerant distribution to suit the temperature requirements of each indoor space, and reducing the number of thermostat ON/OFF occurrences.
Fujitsu General Australia’s national product manager, Kyle Rafter, said Intelligent Refrigerant Control can maintain better room temperature control as the heat load varies throughout the day.
“Fujitsu General is pleased to announce this evolution for its VRF systems, and to be able to continue to adapt and improve the commer- cial solutions we offer under the AIRSTAGE brand to our new and existing customers,” Rafter said.
“The new IV Series will be available to the mar- ket this month and will be supported with a full training program.”
