    Real-time visibility into operating conditions.
Manage operational risk, plant safety
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC HAS released an im- proved version of its EcoStruxure Triconex Safe- ty View, which is the industry’s first dual safety and cybersecurity certified bypass and alarm management software application.
The EcoStruxure Triconex Safety View pro- vides operators with a real-time visibility into the conditions of the plant, allowing users to quickly and better manage risks that may arise, helping to drive superior safety performance, to ultimately deliver better profitability and sus- tainability in the long term.
“PROTECT PEOPLE, ASSETS, PRODUCTION WITH THE RIGHT DATA AT THE RIGHT TIME.”
Industrial process safety systems are designed to help prevent unsafe operating conditions, as well as to bring the plant to a safe state, some- times via a shutdown, when operating condi- tions become unsafe. Because of their critical role in helping to protect people, assets, produc- tion and the environment, safety systems are al- ways “on.”
During everyday operations, there are in- stances where bypasses need to be implemented or critical alarms suppressed, which directly im-
pacts the overall levels of operational risk and the safety of the plant. Every time this happens, the performance of protection functions is im- pacted, which increases cumulative risk and the likelihood of an incident, which means increased risk to the company’s people, production, and profits.
With enhanced digital capabilities, including its ability to extract and textualize real-time op- erating data, EcoStruxure Triconex Safety View provides a better real-time view into the risks that come with system start-ups, shutdowns and other critical process transitions.
By arming operators, maintenance engineers and plant personnel with the right data at the right time, they can quickly and efficiently bring the plant back to a safe operating state.
Innovative fire
protection
JOHNSON CONTROLS HAS released its new ANSUL LVS Non-Fluorinated Liquid Sup- pression Agent which is available worldwide.
The new agent is manufactured without the use of perfluorinated chemicals and is performance tested to ensure maximum ef- fectiveness.
LVS Non-Fluorinated Agent works by rap- idly knocking down flames, then blanketing the fuel and cutting off oxygen to help pre- vent reflash. It is effective against Class A and B fires in mobile equipment in the mining, forestry, waste management and transporta- tion industries.
Johnson Controls developed the new LVS Non-Fluorinated Agent using a unique blend of organic salts and surface-active ingredients.
This innovative for- mula provides the sup- pression, superior cooling and securing properties needed for vehicle fire protection without the addition
of fluorosurfactants found in other com- mon suppression so- lutions. The agent is FM approved, CE marked, AS 5062- 2016 compliant and ActivFire listed.
Director of pre-en-
gineered systems at
Johnson Controls, Mark Neumann, said heavy mobile equipment must work around the clock in harsh conditions so reliable fire protection 24 hours a day is critical.
“Rigorous performance testing by Johnson Controls ensures the agent exceeds all indus- try requirements, giving end users a compli- ant, reliable and high-performance liquid fire suppression solution free of perfluorinated chemicals,” he said.
ANSUL LVS Non-Fluorinated Liquid Sup- pression Agent is designed as a drop-in agent replacement in existing ANSUL LVS fire sup- pression systems. It does not require any hardware changes or annual agent replace- ment (only during cylinder pressure test in- tervals), which lowers fire system mainte- nance costs and reduces equipment downtime. It works in combination with CHECKFIRE Detection and Actuation Sys- tems. Visit redefined4.ansul.com.
The new ANSUL LVS solution is free of perfluorinated chemicals.
The software provides a big picture view of system start-ups, shutdowns and other critical processes.
