CONDAIR DL
Close control adiabatic humidifier with ultra hygienic performance
AD?
The new Condair DL is an in-duct adiabatic humidifier that offers the level of humidity control normally only available from steam humidifiers, but with the low energy performance and evaporative cooling benefit of a cold water system.
It also incorporates many anti-microbial features that make it one of the most hygienic humidifiers available.

POWER: We have developed some unique small HVAC systems - low GWP and no outdoor unit, it's still early days but the response has been im- mediate and positive.
Our Australian team live and breath innovation and we look at holes in HVAC and the old methods and we fill them. There is a lot of interesting new science out there.
With our partners we are working on some extraordinary HVAC tech- nologies. We are entering the Global Cooling Prize and expect a good result! Going forward we see opportunities in Australia with our innovative ideas that should make us recession proof, we never want to be another 'me
too' split system supplier.
We are the new kid on the block in Australia even though the run up has
been six years. We believe this gives a us an advantage in getting our story out there although some might say its a disadvantage.
To remain competitive it is important to differentiate and keep margins high.
We are doing that with products that architects, specifiers and custom- ers can understand and need.
We are fully Australian owned and technologies are all home grown in- cluding the Engas refrigerant that we use.
BURROWS: InAustraliaasinmanypartsoftheworld, wesupportthe HVAC industry via a dedicated network of ABB Authorised Value Partners. Our partners have in-depth knowledge of local markets, are conversant with ABB products and deliver services in seamless cooperation with ABB. To become an ABB AVP, our partners complete both core and advanced training programs available through a combination of resources online and through face to face programs.
At the core of ABB’s strategy is the customer. We continuously look for feedback which influences what we do in the development of products and services.
TOP FOUR BY 2024
Daikin engineering manager, Gary Knox, outlines the top four trends set to make the biggest impact on industry over the next five years.
1) HFC phase down will bring change to refrigerants and we should see many new refrigerants being introduced over the next few years. Owners should decide on a few refrigerants with the best balance of safety, environmental impact, energy efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Daikin engineering manager,
Gary Knox.
2) Buildings and systems will be more efficient. International commitments to reduce carbon emissions to achieve zero emission buildings should increase regulations on building design, construction and system performance.
3) Electricity generation will shift from fossil fuel to renewable sources. Intermittent generators such as solar and wind should encourage demand management of cooling and heating systems.
4) Indoor air quality will be of increasing importance for wellbeing. Ventilation systems should purify indoor air to increased levels while introducing outdoor air with improved energy efficiency.
