Hand distilled New Zealand Lighthouse Gin is now available across Australia. Its name draws inspiration from the lighthouse near Palliser Bay on the North Island. Rachel Hall joined Lighthouse Gin in 2010 and became head distiller in 2014, ensuring the same traditions and original recipe continues to be upheld. “I execute the entire process; from gathering the botanicals, bottling each batch, labelling the product, and sending the product out to stockists and purchasers.”

BEAM SUNTORY COMPLETES SPIRITS TRILOGY
Haku Vodka is the latest creation from Beam Suntory, joining the brand’s trilogy of new premium spirits. As the first craft Japanese vodka from the House of Suntory, Haku Vodka joins Roku Gin and Toki Whisky. The vodka is an ode to monozukuri craftsmanship – an ongoing quest for perfection, a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality – and meets growing consumer demands from Australians for Japanese spirits.
Haku Vodka’s has a complex creation process, beginning in Kagoshima with 100 per cent pure Japanese white rice that is fermented into a koji mash. This is then distilled twice before reaching Suntory’s Liquor Atelier in Osaka, where it is blended and filtered using the House of Suntory’s proprietary bamboo charcoal method, expelling all impurities to ensure a clean, pure spirit.

Nutricia has released its first toddler sheep milk formula under the Karicare brand. Made from 100 per cent New Zealand sheep milk, the new product follows the growing demand among Australian and New Zealand consumers for formulas based

“As consumer preferences continue to evolve, it’s important – as market leader in
Australia and New Zealand – that we’re able to cater accordingly,” Nutricia ANZ sales director John Hoare says.
“Also, this launch is an opportunity to serve other consumers with similar tastes in the region, and who value New Zealand’s renowned agricultural and sheep- farming heritage as well as the country’s natural environment. Plus, through this launch, we’re supporting our local dairy sheep farms.”
The Karicare Toddler Sheep Milk release further signals Nutricia’s plans to launch a full sheep milk infant formula range in 2020, as well as the company’s “commitment to New Zealand farmers and suppliers”.
