CAPABILITIES: Born from traditional welding processes, AML3D uses additive metal layering or metal 3D printing to fabricate large scale and exotic material parts in a free-form environment. The first Australian company to commercialise Direct Energy Deposition (DED) technology using a variant of Wire+Arc Additive Manufactur- ing (WAAM), AML3D is applying scientific know-how to fabricate complex commercial parts that are up to two times stronger than when manufactured using traditional methods.
The patented Wire Additive Manufacturing (WAM®) technology and process that AML3D uses for part manufacture is adaptable, challeng- ing conventional manufacture by printing parts up to 75% faster and more efficiently than casting or subtractive methods while offering stronger material properties and the possibility of part certification. AML3D offers customers contract manufacturing services for me- dium to large scale parts using various metal materials. Titanium is 200mm, or larger all other materials are ideally a minimum of 400mm. Additionally, AML3D is the OEM for the ARCEMY® print system. This industrial 3D metal printing system combines smart manufacturing, IIoT, and industry 4.0, creating a remotely supported unit to print cer- tified stronger parts on demand.
