CAPABILITIES: Matrix is home to Australia’s largest, most techni- cally advanced composite manufacturing facility (22,000 m2). The facility has been designed using lean production and one-piece flow manufacturing concepts. It uses highly automated manufacturing processes including moving work cells and production lines, auto- mated chemical processing, robotics and SCADA based control sys- tems. This has allowed Matrix to produce superior quality products that are competitively priced and can be delivered within shorter time frames.

CAPABILITIES: ARCEMY® by AML3D combines state-of-the-art welding science, robotics technology, metallurgy and proprietary software, WAMSoft® and AMLSoftTM to produce an automated met- al 3D printing system that operates in a free-form environment. As a part of Industry 4.0, AML3D leverages Design for Additive Manufac- turing (DfAM), technology, automation, and the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to create a smart manufacturing solution for medium to large scale exotic material parts. AML3D uses this technology to contract manufacture short-run and mass-produced parts for cus- tomers, using patented Wire Additive Manufacturing (WAM®) to print certified, stronger parts faster and more efficiently than con- ventional methods. ARCEMY® print systems are helping AML3D to disrupt the Defence manufacturing supply chain with a focus on:
• Improved material strength

CAPABILITIES: AML3D offers customers contract manufacturing services for medium to large scale parts from its Lloyd’s Registered Additive Manufacturing Certified facility, using Wire Additive Manu- facturing (WAM®). With Lloyd’s Register, DNV-GL and the American Bureau of Shipping and the American Petroleum Institute introduc- ing standards, accreditation and certification pathways for metal components made with additive manufacturing, it is now easier for you to improve your supply chain with AML3D and WAM®. AML3D and WAM® metal components are made:
• By a proven, certified additive manufacturing process
• 50% more resistant to metal fatigue
• Up to 2 x stronger than the designed working load
• Using material that is up to 30% stronger than traditional cast or
forged parts
• Manufactured up to 75% faster than forging or casting without tool-
ing investments
• Up to 95% material waste saving when compared to billet machining AML3D is the OEM for the ARCEMY® print system. This industrial, turn-key, 3D metal printing system combines smart manufacturing, IIoT, and industry 4.0, creating a remotely supported unit to print cer- tified stronger parts on demand.
