HP supporting diversification Print businesses in wide format now have additional options with the latest HP releases.
HP has introduced a range of new Latex large format print solutions that it says are aimed
at helping print service providers diversify their offerings
and meet more challenging customer needs.
The company says the HP Latex 700 and 800 series bring a suite
of features that will enable print businesses to be more agile, tackle ambitious projects, and take on the highest value work.
The new HP Latex range consists of four devices – the HP Latex 700 and 800, and the HP Latex 700W and 800W – which offer white ink for the first time in this category.
HP claims it is the whitest white ink available on the market, and that it does not yellow over time, enabling print businesses to produce neater outlines, and add more contrast to darker supports.
Meanwhile, updated printheads possessing more nozzles and producing speeds of up to 36sqm
per hour allow the HP Latex 800 and 800W to offer 50 per cent higher productivity levels compared to previous HP models.
It says print jobs executed on the new 700/800 Series will deliver
with vivid colours and finer image and text details, even at faster print speeds. Operationally, HP PrintOS also enables PSPs to monitor and control their print fleet using a cloud-based interface they can use virtually anywhere, anytime.
Recent HP research reveals that
85 per cent of its print customers now demand sustainable products
and practices. All four devices in the HP Latex 700 and 800 series use the HP Eco Carton – a cartridge made with cardboard material, reducing the amount of plastic used by 80 per cent. HP says its water-based inks are also kinder to the environment.
HP has also updated its portfolio of HP Latex R Series printers with new features and solutions to make it easier for print service providers (PSPs) to benefit from HP Latex printing on a hybrid flatbed and roll-fed printing platform, including achieving high image quality on a range of rigid and flexible materials, using HP’s water-based Latex Inks.
Vibrant rigids
According to the company the new HP Latex R Series brings vibrant colours into the rigid printing world, along with HP’s innovative White Latex Ink, a glossy, high-quality white that doesn’t yellow over time, like traditional UV-based white ink.
The new portfolio introduces the new entry-level HP Latex R1000 model, offered at an attractive entry price point.
Additionally, HP is introducing improvements across the portfolio. The new R Series printers now enable customers to benefit from higher productivity and efficiency.
Software productivity advancements include expanded queue management capability and automated updates. More efficient multi-sheet media loading and handling will help significantly boost output. These upgrades will be available to existing
R Series printer customers.
