It’s fair to say that Epson, which pioneered wide format print quality 25 years ago, has one of the most comprehensive ranges of production printers, with several new models now on the market.
produce durable high-impact images quickly, easily and at minimum cost thanks to its bulk ink system. It suits applications including outdoor signs and banners, screens and shades, vehicle wraps and decals, indoor back-lit displays and POS, canvas pull ups and vinyl labels.
The 64" SureColor P20070 large format printer is designed for medium-high volume graphic, indoor POS and poster printing. It supports a wide range of roll and sheet-based media and features a PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead with Variable Sized Droplet Technology for
output with “superior resolution”, gradations and colour density. It uses Epson UltraChrome Pro all-pigment aqueous ink for quality colour and premium black and white output that Epson says is consistent, predictable and durable.
Finally in this section is the 44" SureColor P9560, representing the next generation of wide-format printing. From professional photography to proofing and graphic design, the SureColor P9560 was built from the ground-up to cater to the full spectrum of creative needs.
Featuring new UltraChrome PRO12 Ink, Epson says the SureColor P9560 captures every detail
with what the company says is, “unparalleled colour brilliance and accuracy”, with three levels of black and violet that produce up to 99 per cent coverage of the Pantone Formula Guide solid-coated standard.
Epson says that, combined with a new 2.6" PrecisionCore printhead, means the SureColor P9560 gives you unmatched image quality at speeds up to four times faster than its predecessor.
Direct-to-garment
In the direct-to-garment (DTG) area it is in the form of the SureColor F3000, which Epson says suits the needs of high-volume producers. It combines all of the features which have made Epson a leader in DTG with faster loading, quicker printing, higher durability, and an “ultra-
low” running cost. Aimed primarily at manufacturers who want to value-add t-shirts, polo tops, jeans and sweats, it can also be used for décor and fashion applications. The SureColor F3000 combines advanced Epson UltraChrome DG ink, an upgraded print engine and staggered 2.6" printheads that enable high speed single-pass five-colour production. 21
In the fast-growing soft signage and fabric the headliner is the 76” SureColor F10060, where Epson’s heavy-duty engine
is matched with 76” media support and its latest printhead technology. A high-capacity ink system and precision auto-take-
up enables roll-to-roll production
at up to 255sqm per hour and demonstrates why it says that fabric manufacture has never been this fast, flexible or efficient.
Alongside the 76” beast is the 64” SureColor F9460H, representing
the fourth generation of Epson’s proven 64” platform. Epson says it combines a fast and reliable roll- to-roll production engine with a reduced running cost and optional fluorescent ink support for impactful designs.
The SC-F9460H combines Epson Precision Dot Technology, with advanced media management and UltraChrome DS HDk ink to enable image quality at high speed.
Finally in this section is the 44” SureColor F6360, designed for a wide range of production applications including customised garments and fabrics, hard and soft signage, décor and merchandise. Epson says it combines an ultra-low running cost

with a high production speed and flexible output in either sheet or roll format in widths up to 44”.
In durable signage and POS is the new 64” SureColor R5000L resin printer, aka “The Latex Killer”. Resin represents a significant step for Epson and its customers, as it delivers all the traditional benefits of latex printers, such as rapid job turnaround and print durability, but with colour vibrancy not thought possible on such machines. The addition of the R-Series now means Epson caters for every durable signage need.
Also here is the 64” SureColor Solvent 80660L designed to produce durable images with maximum impact and format flexibility, quickly, easily, and at minimum cost. This proven platform suits operation with a medium to high production volume and, says Epson, delivers “outstanding, vibrant colour”.
It is compatible with a wide range of media and suits applications including high-value large format photo imaging, Pantone certified POS and signage, back-lit displays and window decorations, wallpapers, surface finishes and décor.
