Ben Eaton, CEO at Starleaton, said, “ We are known for distributing premium brands, and the quality of product from 3M is well known to be market leading. It has vast resources that it funnels into R+D, testing
and suitability. Australian printers are benefitting from having greater access to the range of products produced by 3M.”
“With us supplying software and hardware systems, including Epson, Canon, and Zünd, our innovative range of materials from our vendor partners complete the eco-system. For our clients this means one point of contact for their entire printing needs, and it means they are using combinations of media that have been tested and proven to achieve optimum results.”
When it comes to Hardware Starleaton is a premium partner
for Epson, supplying and servicing their complete wide format range including the SureColor wide format roll to roll print systems, which includes the new resin ink printers, the SureColor R5000 and R5000L. Epson says the colour gamut and
the gradient tone range are high,
the latter thanks to the variable sized droplets. The resin ink means the prints are ready for lamination virtually as soon as they come off the press. They will compete in the latex space.
Starleaton has also recently partnered with Canon to distribute and service the Colorado roll-to-roll printer series which has the UVgel ink technology. The Colorado 1650 printer is an award-winning roll-to- roll printer featuring what Canon says is “a flexible, yet robust” ink set and FLXfinish, a new approach to LED curing that allows the user to choose between matte or gloss modes for each individual print. This means customers can achieve different aesthetic finishes without the need to change inks or media. Canon
also has the budget priced Colorado 1630, which delivers print quality of 1800dpi, and produces what Canon says are durable, odourless and instantly dry prints on a wide range of media.
Starleaton also supplies Zünd, the specialist Swiss cutting systems. which are used by leading printers in Australia and New Zealand for multiple applications. 21
  has the full solution
With innovative media solutions and trusted global brands of equipment in its portfolio, Starleaton has solutions for multiple applications, as print becomes a greater part of the advanced manufacturing sector.
Achieving print of consistently high quality in the most efficient
way at the best cost is
a strong platform for success in the market, and industry supplier Starleaton has best-in-class solutions that do just that.
With decades of experience in
the market Starleaton has built
an enviable knowledge base and level of technical expertise that its growing client base places high value on. That market knowledge and technical expertise is married with
a range of hardware and media that the company says will serve print businesses well in the market, and will enable them to deliver on their promises to their customers.
German coatings manufacturer Neschen, represented here by Starleaton, not only supplies best- in-class laminating machines but
a range of medias that continue to innovate. Their latest technology announcement is an alternative to PVC wide format media, and one that offers other important benefits as well as addressing the environmental issues associated with PVC.
EasyDot PP is a self-adhesive printing film that holds colour just as well as PVC, but crucially can
be recycled into many products. It can be disposed of safely, it has no dangerous toxins, and as part of the EasyDot family, it comes with the ease of application through its Dot technology, and an ease of release, that has seen its application rates turbo charged.
The Dot technology essentially means that anyone can apply the film, without having bubbles or creases appear where the air is trapped.
John Buitenkamp, sales and marketing director at Starleaton said, “We here at Starleaton are thrilled to see the next round of Easy Dot innovations coming out of Neschen Coatings.
“It’s not just the green part that is exciting, but also the fact we now have
versions becoming available for print technologies like HP Indigo, toner- based systems, and aqueous printers like the Epson T-series. These new products are on the water on their way from Germany to our shores. Stay tuned for more from the people that brought you the original Easy Dot.”
The Neschen wallpaper range also continues to grow, with a new self adhesive wallpaper.
Starleaton also supplies Hahnemühle, the oldest German papermaker, which has been manufacturing art papers for more than 400 years, and which won another industry TIPA award this year.
The Hahnemühle range includes gloss and matte stock. In addition, Hahnemühle offers free ICC profiles for the digital printing colour management ensuring the best possible results. It also now has a natural product range made out of Hemp, Agave and Bamboo, rather than traditional paper.
Starleaton’s most recent partnership is with 3M, enabling it to deliver the entire 3M Digital Product range to the market. The 3M Digital
