                   Natural Refrigerants
    Local expansion
continues with NH3 focus
TO FURTHER STRENGTHEN ITS POSITION IN OCEANIA, BEIJER REF HAS ACQUIRED THE ASSETS OF THE AUSTRALIAN COMPANY, INDUSTRIAL REFRIGERATION COMPONENTS (IRC).
Emergency cooling
THE NEW EMERGENCY Cooling Unit from Advansor is based solely on CO2 making this product the first of its kind ever to be released.
If the rack stops due to an emergency the Emergency Cooling Unit will prevent the re- frigeration system from losing the refrigerant by keeping pressure on the system.
It is incredibly compact and fitted directly to the receiver, making it very easy to install. Everything is kept inside the rack frame and fully factory tested, saving time on-site.
“EVERYTHING IS KEPT INSIDE THE RACK FRAME AND FACTORY TESTED SAVING TIME ON-SITE.”
This also means that transportation is made easy and the cooler will easily fit in an enclosure for outdoor installation. A real plug and play solution for 230 V with a low power supply.
The complete cooling solution from Advan- sor including refrigeration rack and modules is based on natural refrigerants - a pure CO2 solution that is non-toxic, non-flammable and does not harm the environment.
BEIJER REF HAS also entered into an exclusive cooperation agree- ment for the distribution of LU-VE products.
LU-VEisoneofBeijerRef’spartners in heat exchangers, in Australia and New Zealand.
The agreements complement Beijer Ref ’s strategy when it comes to focusing on natural re- frigeration technology.
Beijer Ref will also expand its portfolio in these markets, to include ammonia units (NH3) via SCM Ref Australia, Beijer Ref Australia’s manu- facturing operation.
Ammonia is one of several refrigerants for en- vironmentally friendly technology.
The investment means that Beijer Ref will strengthen its ability to meet the overall need that exists in the local industrial market – with a complete set of industrial products and components.
As part of the agreement, Australian cus- tomers will have the opportunity, via Beijer Ref Australia and SCM Ref Australia, to buy
LU-VE products, as well as take part in a wide range of specialised industrial components.
Per Bertland, CEO Beijer Ref, described the agreement as a very positive development.
“Our customers can now conveniently take part in Beijer Ref’s wide range of products, both when it comes to commercial, industrial as well as natural refrigerant solutions, while be- ing supported by our Australian branch net- work,” he said.
IRC has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 20 million ($A3.12 million), and the compa- ny consists of two employees.
IRC will be integrated into Beijer Ref Austral- ia’s current organisation and has a minor influence on the company’s earn-
ings and position.

          FENAGY BUY
Beijer Ref is set to increase its interest in the Danish CO2 refrigeration technology company Fenagy A/S to become the majority shareholder.
An investment of DKK19m ($A3.96 million) will see Beijer Ref expand its ownership to just over 50 per cent in the Aarhus-based company. The Swedish wholesaler acquired an initial 20 per cent stake in Fenagy in November last year.
Fenagy, a relatively newly formed
company, manufactures CO2 industrial heat pumps and refrigeration systems.
Beijer Ref CEO Per Bertland remarked that the investment would provide further support for the company’s international expansion.
“Sales have exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with the collaboration, and we look forward to continuing development of the company in the future. Fenagy’s product range well complements our OEM offering in green refrigeration technology,” he said.
