Boss of all applications
New products
CAREL HAS EXTENDED its range of local supervisors with the addition of boss micro, a new for- mat that completes the boss range and enhances its offering of local monitoring systems.
The new supervisor is the ideal solution for applications such as edge data centres, c-stores and pet- rol stations, with a limited number of units yet that still require the same user experience and advanced system management functions.
boss micro guarantees exten- sive connectivity. The new local supervisor natively integrates various communica-
tion channels to cen-
tralised data collec-
tion platforms.
Enabling analytics and preventive logics to optimise perfor- mance is thus imme- diate and adaptable to any system.
There are in fact four different hard- ware versions so as to offer a flexible so- lution that adapts to all needs, integrating a WI-FI hotspot and
a 4G modem for easy local and/or remote access without requiring any additional infrastructure.
The other main benefit of being part of the boss family is the ex- tremely intuitive and user-
friendly interface. Finally, the wide
choice of additional software components means the boss micro supervisor can optimise
system performance in many air conditioning and refrigeration appli- cations: from micro data
centre infrastructures connected to remote monitoring systems,
to management of compressor rack suction pressure and dashboards of performance
indices.
boss micro integrates a WI-FI hotspot and a 4G modem for easy access anywhere.
Intesis interface makes integration simple.
Universal inferface
THE AIR CONDITIONING mar- ket is growing fast with new brands and different types of units con- stantly emerging.
This makes it challenging for building owners to integrate AC units into their specific Building Management System (BMS).
A Universal IR interface compat- ible with more than 100 AC Units is now available.
The Intesis offering includes the most comprehensive portfolio of AC interfaces on the market, ena- bling monitoring and control of air conditioning units from any home or building automation system.
The portfolio is now further
strengthened as HMS launches a universal IR-based Intesis AC in- terface for integrating AC units to Modbus or BACnet-based automa- tion systems.
The new interface connects to the AC unit via the IR link which is already used by most AC units to communicate with their remote control. The Intesis IR-based AC In- terface is already compatible with more than 100 IR remote control- lers and their associated AC units.
The new AC interface solution is configured using the Intesis MAPS tool and can be configured in a sin- gle MAPS template.
