FRY UP: NEW PEA PROTEIN MINCE
The Fry Family Food Co has expanded its plant-based range with the release of its first pea protein product. The Pea Protein Mince is 100 per cent plant-based and is made from non-genetically modified ingredients and plant proteins. It contains no onion and garlic.
The LIVEKINDLY Collective is the parent company of Fry Family Food Co, and its ANZ marketing director Tammy Fry said as mince is the hero of many Australians’ favourite meals, creating the plant-based alternative means people can still enjoy the classics, such as spaghetti bolognaise, Mexican burritos and nachos.
“The Fry’s family was passionate about offering a twist on this classic ingredient, making it easier for Aussies to reduce their meat consumption while still enjoying their favourite meals,” said Fry.
VEGAN BAKING MADE EASY
The new Plant Based Condensed Milk Alternative from Nestlé is making its way onto shelves across the country, designed as the latest pantry staple for vegan baking.
Based on rice and oat flour, Nestlé’s Plant Based Condensed Milk Alternative can be used to create desserts such as caramel slice, brownies and choc chip cookies without dairy ingredients.
“We know some people struggle to find the right ingredients to replicate even the simplest of dairy free recipes, so we’re excited to see home bakers use this new product as an easy solution for their sweet creations,” said Nestlé business manager Anna Stewart. “With at-home baking and plant-based diets on the rise across the country, we are excited to introduce a tasty alternative to

sweetened condensed milk for Aussies who enjoy a sweet treat as much as a plant-based diet.”
Nestlé Plant Based Condensed Milk Alternative will be rolling out throughout this month in most major supermarkets nationwide for RRP $3.99.
“Our Pea Protein Mince is just that and, even better, it’s actually easier to cook than traditional mince, cooking from frozen in just five minutes. It’s perfect for busy, on-the-go families.”
The new Pea Protein Mince from Fry Family Food Co is available in the freezer section of Coles, and many independent retailers across Australia.

MEET PURE SCOT AT MIDNIGHT
Midnight Peat is the latest whisky addition to Australian-owned Pure Scot’s portfolio, designed to “elevate classic and modern whisky-based drinks”.
Pure Scot Midnight Peat featured warm, smoky, sweet flavour notes, and was crafted at the 204-year-old Bladnoch Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands.
“Pure Scot’s approach is to innovate around drinking occasions in life. By introducing a peated finish, Midnight Peat was developed and designed to add a further aspect to those occasions,” said master distiller Nick Savage.
“The peated finish was carefully monitored to allow for character to be a subtle build on the style of Pure Scot signature yet allow for a completely different dimension.”
Pure Scot Midnight Peat is available to order now through Iconic Beverages, The Beverage Company, as well as for purchase from independent retailers, on premise only and online.
