AirHub zone controller delivers precise temperatures where it is needed.
Locally designed zone controller
resulting in quieter operation and greater ener- gy savings.
Linear zone control enables users to switch up to eight zones on or off as well as set the zone tem- perature to ±2° Celsius of the master setpoint.
Daikin's OptiZone Control technology automatically regulates the individual zone dampers to deliver precise airflow to meet the temperature settings and heat load of each zone.
This results in the indoor fan and compressor in the outdoor unit adjusting their output to meet the required heat load, bringing superior comfort and energy savings.
For easy monitoring and optimisation of the ducted system’s energy consumption, AirHub offers a number of eco settings such as setpoint range limit, setpoint auto reset and auto off timer.
In addition, the weekly schedule timer, with individual zone timers, allows users to program the system and individual zones on or off at set times of the week.
Providing control anywhere, AirHub can be accessed remotely using the Daikin Airbase app. Designed in Australia, AirHub settings can be changed via a smartphone or tablet with
an internet connection.
DAIKIN HAS RELEASED its new AirHub touch zone controller.
The contemporary design features a 7 inch, colour resistive touch screen interface housed in a matte white casing, which can be flush mount- ed 11 millimetres off the wall for a clean, mini- malistic look.
With homes typically divided into separate areas or ‘zones’, it makes sense to only air condi- tion zones that are occupied and switch off un- occupied zones.
When used in conjunction with a Daikin pre- mium inverter ducted or inverter ducted air con-
ditioning system, AirHub’s features give users the flexibility to deliver precise temperature con- trol where it is needed.
AirHub is available in two versions depending on the household's requirements: on/off zone control or linear zone control.
Wired or wireless remote temperature sensors are also available.
On/off zone control allows users to control up to eight individual zones.
As zones are turned off, the indoor unit fan speed is automatically reduced to meet the air- flow requirements of the remaining open zones

Aged care air quality trial
A LEADING AUSTRALIAN aged care provid- er recently engaged Panasonic to trial its unique nanoe X air purification technology in two facilities in Albury and Wodonga, with an air quality analysis highlighting the true im- pact of such solutions in indoor living environ- ments in Australia.
With Panasonic’s revolutionary nanoe X technology, residents, staff and visitors to the facilities are enjoying a breath of ‘true’ fresh air as the 24-hour purification acts to neutral- ise harmful indoor pollutants such as VOCs, allergens, bacteria, mould and viruses, and re- duce odours, creating a fresher and healthier living environment.
Australian Indoor Air quality experts Bell Laboratories conducted a detailed air quality analysis of the facilities, collecting samples from multiple locations within each facility be- fore the installation of the revolutionary nanoe X systems, and again two months later.
It was found that odours were reduced by ap- proximately 45 per cent and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) were reduced by approxi- mately 50 per cent.
Leading mechanical services firm Air Eve-
rywhere were commissioned to install the systems. Andrew Barnes, director of Air Everywhere explained the nanoe
X air purification technology – integrated in Panasonic’s new
ceiling cassette air conditioning
systems – was selected as indoor
air quality is always front of mind for aged care facilities.
“As we all focus more and more these days on indoor air quality, and areas of concern such as bacteria and viruses, we are receiving growing interest in nanoe X from a variety of industries including healthcare, childcare and education,” Barnes said.
“Aged care providers see the importance of investing in solutions that deliver real improve- ments and increased comfort for their staff and residents, however until Panasonic launched nanoe X, these types of solutions were scarce.
“We are finding the nanoe X solution to be very versatile with the complete air condition- ing and air purification package, all the way down to the plug and play solutions.”
Australians are spending more time inside than ever before and indoor air quality is vital

to optimise the comfort and health of people of all ages.
With VOCs remaining a common pollutant in all indoor settings – released by everything from general building materials, through to cleaning chemicals – Panasonic’s nanoe X technology plays an important part in neu- tralising common hazardous and harmful substances at particle sizes as small as PM2.5.
The technology also comes with industry recognition from the National Asthma Council Australia’s community program, Sensitive Choice, as an air purifying solution suitable for those with asthma or allergies.
