David Reece, sales director, Jet Technologies, says, “The L350UV SAI Series’ ability to print on a diversity of local and imported materials has posi- tioned it as one of the most innovative and efficient automated label produc- tion printers available today. Even more so, with improved productivity rates of up to 60 per cent compared to the previous model, the SAI serves as one of the fastest solutions on the market, with the highest-qual- ity results, and we’re pleased to see Onpack further its digital innovation by upgrading to this latest model.”
HIGH UPTIME
Peter Scott, managing director of Screen GP Australia, a direct subsid- iary of Screen Holdings Japan, says: “We are delighted that Onpack has decided to stay with Screen digital label press technology through our dealer Jet Technologies. Onpack’s first Truepress Jet L350UV has provided five years of high-uptime production for Onpack, capably supported by Jet and our own technicians. Now with the SAI installed, the original machine is traded in and will be refurbished.”
Scott explains the benefits of the latest L350UV SAI, that he said apart from increased productivity, include extra orange and blue colours to add to the CMYK inkset, “resulting in eye- popping colours and accurate Pantone and spot matches”.
“The chill roller option facilitates printing on very thin substrates, and an extra white with extra UV-curing ensures high productivity while using white ink,” Scott says.
Scott believes that combined, Jet Technologies and Screen is the “dream team” for digital label production. “Screen has the fac- tory-trained technicians and global resources, Jet has a deep understand- ing of all label production including flexo, inks, coatings and workflows,” he says, noting that Onpack is the company’s second, soon to be a third, repeat customer for Screen digital label press technology. ■

Michael Nankervis, founder and managing director, Onpack, says, “Our first investment in the original L350 series gave us the platform to meet our growth ambitions as a busi- ness, whilst optimising our digital printing capabilities with process con- trol, enhanced quality, and improved efficiency. Four years on, and with the continued support of Jet Technologies, we were ready to expand and grow our capacity even further.”
The latest Screen L350UV SAI Series was officially released and demonstrated at Jet Technologies’
printing, and by 60 per cent for highest opacity white colours. The upgraded system has additionally enabled Onpack to operate with a wide range of colours, without ink wastage.
“Since installation, the SAI upgrade has enabled us to significantly increase our turnaround speed for digital print- ing jobs by automating the process. With its software generated lead in lead out and reverse-feed function, we’ve also
