Genr8 ups productivity with new AccurioPress
Genr8 Printing says it will achieve increased speed in its turnaround time, as
well as better colour consistency and registration, with its new Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 digital press.
Yianni Moratidis, owner of the Wallsend-based business, says he purchased the C4080 to replace the three-year-old C2060, and has found that it works twice as well.
“I am really impressed with the C4080's versatile substrate handling and solid colour delivery,” he said.
According to Konica Minolta,
the C4080, which prints 81ppm on A4 colour, offers dual- sided banner printing, professional inline finishing, high productivity, and “exceptional” print quality with real-time automated quality adjustments.
Moratidis says that Genr8 Printing, which was established in 2008 and prints everything from business cards to brochures, mailer boxes, glass splashbacks and interior décor, is one of the only local printing businesses to print with white ink, from roll- to-roll to rigid substrates.

Ball & Doggett appoints Jackson to sustainability
Ball & Doggett has appointed the winner of print industry Exceptional
Woman of the Year, Zaidee Jackson, as national business development manager, Sustainable Packaging. She takes up the new role on 1 January.
The company says the creation of the new role highlights its commitment to the labels
and packaging market, and is intended to develop sustainable label and packaging alternatives for the industry.

who was recently awarded the Exceptional Woman award at the 38th National Print Awards, has 25 years’ experience working with paper distributors and printers, and as Ball & Doggett’s
BDM manager in Victoria
for the past seven years has successfully navigated profitable outcomes with her team within the creative and brand owner sectors.
In this new key role, Jackson will work closely with Leigh Hooper, newly-appointed general manager, Labels & Packaging, and support the navigation and dialogue between brand owners and converters, supporting the transition pathways in a consultancy experience.
