  IX AUTO AUSTRALIA HAS
signed its latest partners in New South Wales. Fix Auto Canterbury, formerly IOMG Direct Smash Repair in Greenacre is the latest business to join the growing network of independently owned repair- ers in Australia which is part of the world’s largest network of independent-
ly owned repairers.
The location, which has served its cus-
tomers for almost 60 years was acquired by new owners three years ago and has since undergoneasignificantreviewofitsopera- tions to determine its potential for growth and process improvement. Following this review and an assessment of the options available to independent repairers to best position them for the future, the new own- ers concluded that being part of a network was vital to sustainability and that the Fix Auto model provided the greatest value to their business in the longer term.
Director Simon Jia said “We have a unique business that serves the local
community very well. We have a cus- tomer facing team that speaks four lan- guages, English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malaysian. We find that this capa- bility along with our broad service offer- ing of body and mechanical repair as well as detailing positions us as a trust- worthy and reliable choice with our cus- tomers. The opportunity to further strengthen this position by joining a global brand that our international cus- tomers can relate to, from other coun- tries where they have seen it, is a huge benefit. In addition to the brand strength, we have already seen how their operational and process expertise can make significant improvements to how we do things and most importantly, how profitable we are in doing them”.
Fix Auto Macarthur, formerly known as AAA Malibu Paint & Panel based in Ingleburn, is the latest repairer to join the network.
The business has been in operation since 2000 and was purchased by Aar-
on Samphier in 2016, it was then relo- cated to a new facility in 2019. The new facility provided the business with the much-needed space to facilitate Samph- ier's aggressive growth plans. It has also enabled upgrading of tools, tech- nology and resources to ensure the business can deliver the highest levels of quality and service whilst managing additional volume.
Faid said: “Aaron’s facility is out- standing.Hehassecuredagreatloca- tion with significant scale to grow his business and has spared no expense with equipping his people with all the tools and technology they need. Aaron has a passion for his business and a vi- sion for continued growth, we look for- ward to achieving that together”.
Owner Samphier said: “I realised my shop needed to be a part of something bigger. I wanted to continue to own my business and stay in control of it but rec- ognised that as a single shop in a con- solidating market I needed to find a way of staying relevant. Fix Auto is an inter- national brand with over 800 locations worldwide with access to industry best practices, systems and processes to in- crease profitability and efficiencies, it also provides opportunities with poten- tial work providers. Most importantly, they have been nothing but supportive of my vision and the direction I want to take the business, in fact I am confident that this partnership will make that vision entirely possible”.
