2020 WOMEN IN DEFENCE AWARD WINNERS
ADM’s Women in Defence Awards was celebrated with over 600 people via a virtual event this year. With winners from APS, in uniform, Primes and SMEs the field of contenders was strong and diverse.

FROM working in submarines to the Hawk lead in fighter and joining us from a firing range to moving to a new house to maternity leave, our finalists told their stories and shared their journeys.
In a first for the event, it was completely online this year. With finalists from almost every state and territory repre- sented, finalists were able to tell their stories in their own words sharing their experiences with everyone. “I would also like to thank our judges,” ADM’s Managing Director Kath- erine Ziesing said at live event. “Without their willingness to give up their time and expertise these awards would not be possible. We aim to have a diverse judging panel that re- flects our nominations. Thank you again for efforts in help- ing ADM bring together the best awards program we can.”
This year’s Hall of Fame inductee is Dr Karen Stanton, the owner and director of Heat Treatment Australia (HTA)
