Sydney ready to host Visual Impact
Sydney is getting set to host the region’s sign, display and wide-format print specialists at the industry’s leading expo, Visual Impact. It runs 3-5 May at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
Visual Impact returns to the Harbour City for the first time in five years, after covid-induced cancellations played havoc with event schedules. Now, after a return co-locating with PacPrint last year, the sector is set to enjoy its own show once again, with the event aiming to help businesses ‘envision their success’.
Charly Blades, event manager for organiser, Visual Connections – the suppliers association – says the success of PacPrint demonstrated how ready businesses are to invest, with millions transacted during
the four-day event – much of that in signage technologies, display systems, wide-format and textile printing, specialised media and other products which are typical of Visual Impact exhibitions.
“As soon as bookings opened
for this event, we had many major suppliers rush to secure their space, including Roland DG who came on board as Platinum Sponsors, and Epson, Euro Poles, HP, Pozitive, Spicers, Starleaton and Trotec Laser who demonstrated their support by becoming Gold Sponsors.”
Others major stands will feature showcases from companies including Alfex CNC, Amari Visual, Ball & Doggett, Celmac, Elizabeth Machines, Mimaki, Multicam, Mutoh Australia, Paper Handling Equipment, Rowmark Australia, Smartech Business Systems, Spandex and Wilenco.
Rounding out the exhibitor list at the time of going to press were Aeronaut Automation,
CMYKhub, Ecolease and Impression Technology, Mynice, Master Promotion, Ningbo YuanYuan, Photo USA Electronic Graphic, xPrint IQ, Quote & Print Software, SALed Australia, SAS Signage Accessories Suppliers, Shanghai Tiege Technology, Shann Australia, Sublimation, Systems, Velflex Imports and Zhejiang So-Fine Self- Adhesive Products and Zoomtec Sign Supplies. Penrith Print Museum will also have a stand.
“We’re delighted with how the exhibition is looking, not only with the leading names that will be taking part, but by the diversity of the showcase we’ll be able to bring to the industry,” Blades says, adding that organisers are expecting a
wide variety of business visitors from Sydney and surrounds, other States – especially down the eastern seaboard – across the Tasman and around the region.
“We’re delighted by the diversity of the showcase we’ll be able to bring to the industry.”
CHARLY BLADES, VISUAL CONNECTIONS
“It’s creating plenty of excitement and rightly so,” she says. “While the themes are expected to be similar to those seen in Melbourne, we already know of a number of new releases
to be debuted so visitors can see the latest options for their businesses.”
WHAT’S ON SHOW?
From the above list, it’s clear that Visual Impact Sydney will be diverse, covering everything from digital and wide-format printing and media, to personalisation, channel lettering, braille and illuminated signage, displays and display systems, and incuding textile, sublimation and direct-to-garment printing, vinyl applications, and finishing technologies laser cutting, routing and engraving, stitching, seaming, welding and trimming.
Visual Impact will be Roland DG’s first chance to showcase an expanded TrueVis lineup that now includes resin, UV and eco-solvent models. They will be demonstrated together with recently introduced LG and MG Series UV printer cutters. The company’s first resin printer, the AP-640, for eco-friendly applications is on display.
