ARNOTT’S GROWS GLUTEN FREE BISCUIT FAMILY
Arnott’s has expanded its Gluten Free range to include Mint Slice, Shortbread Cream and TeeVee Snacks Original. The new products join the gluten free versions of Scotch Finger, Tiny Teddy, and Choc Ripple, which were launched last year.
Arnott’s Group nutritionist, Alison Baldwin said the latest additions provide welcome variety for the many consumers seeking out gluten free snacks.
“Nearly 25 per cent of Australians restrict gluten or wheat, and many of those people have traditionally felt disappointed by the available offering, with as many as two thirds believing that the existing gluten free snacks don’t taste nearly as good
SWEET AND SALTY PANA FROM HEAVEN
Pana Organic has partnered with Hobart-based Tasman Sea Salt to create a Mylk Chocolate balanced with bursts of pure salt flakes, harvested straight from the waters of Tasmania.
Pana Organic founder Pana Barbounis said the partnership was an obvious and natural alignment.
“The Tasman Sea Salt crystals are abundant in natural minerals derived from the nutrient rich waters of Tasmania and the salt itself contains lower levels of sodium and higher levels of potassium, delivering a truly feel-good chocolate for our customers,” Barbounis said.
“This indulgent new chocolate is an environmentally sustainable and nutrient rich take on a flavour combination adored by many, and we know our customers will love this blend as much as we do,” Barbounis said.

as regular snacks, according to a study undertaken in-house. “Our teams have worked hard to create biscuits that taste
great and that meet the strict requirements of the Coeliac Australia endorsement program, meaning all products will feature the Coeliac Australia Endorsement logo,” Baldwin said.

   ✷
    Caramel and Mocha.
Bickford’s Iced Coffee Syrups originated more than
100 years ago in 1919, and were originally used as a pick-me-up in the post-war era when coffee was in short supply. It was originally branded as Our Jack with a kookaburra on the label.
The new flavours are vegan friendly, gluten free and can be enjoyed served over milk and ice or with ice cream for a sweet treat.
Made using the Bickford’s signature blend of essence of coffee, chicory and the addition of caramel or chocolate, the syrups contain no preservatives and the new flavours have 10 per cent less sugar than the original Iced Coffee Syrup.
Bickford’s Premium Iced Coffee Syrups are available in independent retail stores, select Coles and Woolworths stores nationwide.
HUNT AND BREW HEADS NORTH
FOR A COLD BREW
Coffee cold brew specialist Hunt and Brew is set to become one of the largest buyers of Australian grown coffee beans, with the company sourcing beans for its latest cold brew from Far North Queensland.
Hunt and Brew senior brand manager Emily Creer said despite Australia’s strong coffee culture, only 600 tonnes of coffee is grown in Australia.
“The pandemic has prompted Australian businesses and consumers to source locally. We set ourselves a challenge to hunt for Australian coffee beans, and were ecstatic to discover world-class coffee beans being grown in our own backyard.
“We found the finest single origin coffee beans being grown on the Atherton Tablelands, where the high altitude mountainous region makes for the perfect coffee terroir,” Creer said.
Hunt and Brew Australia Single Origin Cold Brew Coffee is available in Woolworths nationally.
