AMA GETS HEAVIER
AMA GROUP HAS ANNOUNCED IT HAS
recently acquired its ninth major heavy ve- hicle repair facility, Newcastle’s National Truck Repairs and National Central.
Darren Wales, AMA’s CEO Heavy Mo- tor Division said: “National Truck Re- pairs is such a well-run and respected in- dustry leader in the heavy vehicle repair sector, we are delighted to have them on board to complement our burgeoning team. Having a facility of this calibre in the Newcastle region complements our national repair network, which is the only heavy vehicle repair organisation to have such a national presence.”
AMA Heavy Motor Division now consists of 250 staff across nine sites Australia wide.

ULIE THOMAS HAS RECEIVED
the Car-O-Liner Lifetime Achievement Award. Her award was presented in a
brief ceremony by Frank Li, Technical Sales Manager APAC on behalf of Per Jörgensen, General Man-
ager of Car-O-Liner APAC.
Car-O-Liner has tirelessly supported
the Australian automotive collision re- pair industry for over 30 years. Back in 1990, Julie and her late husband Barrie Thomas obtained Car-O-Liner Australia as a privately operated business, with support from Car-O-Liner Sweden, and a small, highly professional sales and technical team. Car-O-Liner grew into a
force to be reckoned within the industry with a reputation built on integrity, un- derstanding and support to their ever growing customer base.
Through economic hardships, Car-O- Liner Australia has won the prestigious Car-O-Liner International Sales Award on five separate occasions, cementing their reputation, both within Car-O- Liner and the Australian automotive community.
Car-O-Liner said that they are hon- ored to present the Car-O-Liner Life- time Achievement Award to Thomas and her team in appreciation of their outstanding contribution and excel- lent service.

     ADAS TRAINING
             THE MOTOR TRADES ASSOCIATION
of Queensland (MTAQ) has an- nounced the launch of a suite of training courses aimed at deliv- ering skills in the area of Ad- vanced Driver Assistance Sys- tems (ADAS), in collaboration with ADAS Solutions Australia.
The series of non-accredited courses are the first of their kind in Australia for the auto-
motive industry and will play an important role in developing pathways for new skill sets nec- essary to support the future evo- lution of the industry.
The collaboration with ADAS So- lutions Australia will see the intro- duction of three courses, each ex- ploring different features of ADAS – awareness, a two day techni- cian course and a glass course.
