ue to invest and innovate to ensure future growth and sustainability. An exciting part of this inno- vation journey was the launch of the DC-3 Smart Refrigeration System which won the Product Ex- cellence category at the ARBS 2020 Awards.
Working closely with renowned organisations Siam Compressor Industries, Carel, Tecumseh and Cabero, DC-3 was created as an easy to in- stall, plug and play solution that is defining the industry.
The DC-3 System has evolved to meet chang- ing industry requirements and consumer de- mand. It now offers dual evaporator capabilities, high humidity models and is suitable for HFO alternative refrigerant R448A.
DC-3’s win at the ARBS 2020 Awards demon- strates the industry’s willingness to embrace in- novation for the better.
INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS
Actrol continue to invest in bringing innovative products to the industry providing their custom- ers more opportunities to win. Below are some exciting examples from the past year.
Ryker GH condensing units are a fully fitted medium temperature solution. Ryker has been de- signed to withstand the most extreme conditions.
With a strong and sturdy configuration paired with a highly robust compressor, Ryker units can be used in cool rooms, food and dairy service or commercial installations. Supremely efficient, Ryker helps get the job done quickly, easily, and reliably. The range includes units to suit applica- tions from 5.2kW to 25.6kW.
COOL-FIT 4.0 piping systems was launched in Australia earlier this year by GF Piping Systems.
COOL-FIT 4.0 features cutting-edge technol- ogy, designed for use in commercial and indus- trial refrigeration installations as copper and steel alternatives.
Distributed nationally through Actrol’s exten- sive network, COOL-FIT 4.0 is a 100% mainte- nance and corrosion-free system with revolution- ary 3-in-1 design using reliable electrofusion jointing technology. With added benefits of fast installation and light weight, COOL-FIT 4.0 is per- fect for commercial beer and wine production.
REFMATE by Refco was launched this year and offers a digital solution to common analogue manifolds. The REFMATE has been developed by professionals, for professionals. With state-of- the-art technology and tried-and-tested features, REFMATE also integrates with the REFMESH app. REFMATE is the tool techs need in their kit for everyday use. Offered exclusively through Ac- trol along with the widest Refco range.
Actrol continues to drive the industry forward with the HFC phasedown, ensuring their cus- tomers are armed with the knowledge and tools to be ready for the future of refrigerant. This year has seen a spike in the demand for HFC alterna- tives. Through partnering with Prime, Actrol is leading the way to ensure Australia reduces 85% of HFCs by 2036. A strong position in this space has ensured the availability of the right refriger- ants, where and when required.
In 2021, with the next major decrease to the im- port quota of HFCs, Actrol is looking to continue this journey by not only ensuring they have the right refrigerants but also continue to offer quality capital and componentry compatible with HFO blends and even A2L and A3 refrigerants.
DIGITAL SERVICES
Actrol is continuing to develop its digital service offering, helping customers futureproof their businesses with greater visibility and increased efficiency on-site and in the office.
The maX app puts more hours back in custom-
ers’ day. Integrated with maX, Flexitrak is tailored for the refrigeration market, offering a complete cyl- inder management tool. Customers can easily, track, measure, and transfer cylinders.
Flexitrak reduces cylinder loss and manages re- frigerant usage more efficiently, offering cost sav- ings for business owners. The updated desktop app has also allowed Actrol customers to have more control to track, measure and transfer their cylinder fleet.
Actrol will continue to support their customers with the highest quality products and service, where and when they need it. This includes main- taining a strong focus on efficiency of installation, product innovation and the integration of tech- nology when selecting and installing capital units.
