2022 PREVIEW
Build it and they will come
Anticipation is growing as the processing and packaging event of the year draws near, set to be staged at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 17-20 May. Food & Drink Business gives you a taste of what AUSPACK 2022 and its allied events will dish up for visitors.
IT’S been three long years since the last AUSPACK event was staged in Melbourne, so understandably, excitement is running high as preparations get into full swing ahead of opening day on 17 May. The show, owned by the Australian Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (APPMA), will run for four days at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
With the largest Australian contingent of exhibitors in AUSPACK’s history, the breadth of innovation slated for launch at the show, and an exciting line-up of adjacent events, this year’s expo is set to deliver a memorable and worthwhile experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.
The globally recognised, long-running biennial event, which forms part of the annual Packaging and Processing Week, will present expanded business forum sessions, showfloor technology seminars, a gala industry dinner banquet and Awards of Excellence celebration, and of course, the expo itself.
This year, according to show organiser Exhibitions & Trade Fairs, more than 250 suppliers – a large number of them Australian companies –representing hundreds of global brands will be on the show floor, offering visitors solutions that address a range of industry trends and themes.
Mark Dingley, chairman of APPMA, said, “For three years, industry has been developing and advancing innovation and digital technology which it is ready to showcase, and AUSPACK will be the perfect place for people across the packaging and processing sectors to find solutions to increase efficiencies across their business.”
THE EXHIBITION
The showfloor will be bursting with innovation, with visitors able to see first-hand demonstrations of new technology, to touch new packaging materials, and interact with experts in person. Quite the novelty after so long in isolation.
From the wide range of products on show, there will be something for every visitor. So, whether your company needs processing, packaging or filling machinery, product identification solutions, packaging materials, materials handling or ancillary components in food and beverage, frozen goods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, chemical and household items or FMCG, you’ll find it at AUSPACK.
To aid navigation of the show floor, AUSPACK will feature three main zones: Processing Equipment, Packaging & Packaging Materials and Packaging Machinery. Across the zones, visitors will find the latest technology advances, new products, and solutions that offer sustainability and consumer convenience.
GALA NIGHT
The APPMA Awards of Excellence winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 18 May to celebrate and recognise innovation and contribution across the industry.
