As the new kid in the collaborative robot space in Australia, Victorian-based Cobot aims to position itself as the go-to place for small to medium local manufacturers to gain the sort of market competitiveness brought about through robotics and automation.
Cobot will be at this year’s AUSPACK event to showcase its latest collaborative robot offerings and solutions, and the company can’t wait for its launch at the show, timed to coincide with its one-year anniversary.
“With the pandemic shutting most things down, we’ve only had the chance to announce ourselves online, so we are looking at AUSPACK as our official launch to
the public,” said Andrew Quayle, managing director of Cobot.
The company integrates and develops robotic solutions utilising cobots and industrial robots, with traditional or safety sensor guarding.
Cobot has a trusted partnership with Jaka Robotics and is the exclusive distributor for its robots in Australia, a range of which will be on display at AUSPACK.
The company is also a specialist reseller of Ewellix vertical lift and slide kits, and has partnered with AaRM to design and develop solutions using the latest Mark Forged 3D printers and scanners.
GO DOWN THE AISLE WITH COMBILIFT

STAND H050
Combilift’s new Aisle Master-OP (AME-OP) is a pioneering stand-on electric powered model that combines the advantages of a narrow aisle articulated forklift and an order picker for versatile operation in warehousing applications.
The development of this model was influenced by customer feedback – as has often been the case with Combilift’s innovations – as well as the recent soaring growth of e-commerce.
“Customers already using the Aisle Master for space saving, storage and efficiency in their warehouse asked if we could redevelop the Aisle Master to meet their ever-growing demand for order picking customised orders,” said Martin McVicar, Combilift CEO.
R&D carried out in 2019-20 has created the Aisle Master-OP. The main feature of this unit is the step-through operator compartment which has design copyright protection across multiple markets worldwide.
The low floor height of just 280mm enables convenient, single step access from both sides of the truck which speeds up order picking compared to the operator having to get on and off from a seated position.
With the first series of the Combilift Aisle Master-OP now in operation in Australia, Combilift is excited to be showcasing the brand new model at AUSPACK for the first time.
ROBOTIC PALLETISER WITH FLEXIBLE FOOTPRINT FROM FOODMACH
www.foodmach.com
Foodmach will showcase a pick and place palletiser with a flexible footprint, multiple configuration options and modular design.
“In pick and place palletising, robots are used to pick up single cases, or a number of cases aligned the same way, to place them in the correct location on a layer,” said Foodmach CEO Earle Roberts.
“These multi-pick and multi-place movements result in faster cycle times. A pick and place solution has the flexibility to easily change layer patterns from one product to the next, particularly if a simple layer pattern program such as Robowizard is used.”
Robowizard automatically programs the robot’s path, with no need for complicated software engineering.
“It’s like playing Tetris with robots and cartons. Robowizard is a true Australian innovation, built and supported locally,” Roberts added.
“It’s simple to use with unbelievable flexibility, accuracy and reliability. Size changeovers can be made in minutes, not days – with no PLC technician required.”
Key benefits include: creating new formats or editing existing formats in less than five minutes; high or low infeed heights; Industry 4.0-ready; intuitive controls; small footprint and modular design; and local support.
