Suzie’s Bright yellow bouncy ball carefully brought her back to
the queue she had left moments earlier.
“Can I help you?” asked the lady
In all the commotion, Suzie hadn’t realised she was already at the
front of the queue!
“I would like a jam sandwich please and a drink of milk”. The
small, wrinkly lady behind the counter didn’t move. She just
stared at Suzie with her big, round, brown eyes, as if she had
seen a ghost. Suzie thought maybe she couldn’t see her properly.
She was very old. 40 or something.
“Are you Suzie?” asked the lady. “Yes”, Suzie replied. ‘Guys, it’s
Suzie!’ The shopkeeper now looked very pleased to meet her. All
the workers from the back of the shop came to say hello.
