MMTC has been doing its diligent duty in helping
build a self-reliant, resurgent, resilient India even
amidst the Coronavirus crisis.
In the month of April, MMTC pledged its support
to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief
in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund that
was created for dealing with emergency/distress
situations like the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees
donated their one-day’s salary to the relief fund, MMTC contributed an amount of INR 53 lakhs from
amounting to a sum of INR 25 lakhs. In addition, its CSR funds to PM CARES.
The Company has continued to pay its employees,
on roll as well as contractual, their complete salaries
during the lockdown period.
Preventive Measures (for the Organization
and Employees)
An enterprise is only as effective as its workforce.
Therefore, a company’s obligation towards the
health and safety of its people also extends to their
families.
MMTC has undertaken distribution of face masks
to employees and installation of hand sanitizers
and disinfection mechanism at its offices. Social
distancing norms have been strictly implemented.
Rostering of workforce and staggering of workhours
has been done to contain number of people present
in the same space at a time. Temperature scanning of
employees is done daily at office entrance, and their
