Knee replacements
Damage to the knee and any of its constituent parts can result in in pain and in some cases osteoarthritis This can be treated with a a a a a partial or total knee replacement Partial knee replacement Arthritis often affects one part of of the knee joint more than the the the other This allows us to preserve the the the majority of the joint and supporting ligaments by replacing only the part that is worn out Partial knee replacement can be carried out on the kneecap inner half half of of the the knee knee and the the outer half half of of the knee This can also be carried out using robotic-assisted surgery For this procedure a a a CT scan is is used to create a a a a a virtual model of a a a a a patient’s knee which can then be used to to tailor surgery to to that specific patient Total knee replacement When two or or or more parts of the knee are worn out and causing symptoms a a a a a total knee replacement offers a a proven solution Here our surgeons use special instruments such as computer-aided navigation In this instance a a a a joint is is mapped onto a a a a computer program allowing the new joint to be precisely implanted We also offer robotic-assisted total knee replacement where the the bone is prepared with the the aid of a a a robotic arm | | 25 | |
