Screen Sharing
For Whiteboarding while open in Zoom
For live annotation in Zoom, Google Docs, or other external platforms (i.e. Hypothes.is)
For sharing a short video clip
For showing a demo through Whiteboarding
Be Sensitive to Student Challenges With Screen Sharing, Which May Include:
- Low bandwidth
- Lags and hiccups due to having an older computer or using a mobile
device or tablet
- Some students may have technology capabilities to freely and neatly
annotate (i.e., an external stylus and writing pad)
- Avoid asking students to have multiple windows open, multiple
click-outs to external sites, and multiple logins
- Avoid blending students’ use of the web for personal use (i.e., social
media apps) with their in-class work; most consider this a violation of their work-life balance and privacy
