ADOPT A TURKEY MONTH In 2009, WhaleTimes estab-
lished Hagfish Day to ‘celebrate the beauty of ugly.’ Hagfish
are slime oozing deep-sea scavengers that are essential to the
ecosystem. WhaleTimes Director Ruth Musgrave said,
“Sometimes it seems as if ecological causes are popularity con-
