Arrangement 3 SWSI — Single Width, Single Inlet (Centrifugal)
Arrangement 3 is usually belt driven and is configured with the wheel center hung on the shaft, i.e.,
mounted between the bearings making it structurally sound and compact. The arrangement 3 has
one bearing located in the airstream. The motor can be mounted in any of the four AMCA standard
 motor positions, W, X, Y, or Z.

Motor Position restrictions based on Discharge
BHD discharge (motor interferes with outlet opening of housing)
 CW rotation: Motor position “Z” NOT ALLOWED
 CCW rotation: Motor position “W” NOT ALLOWED
TAD discharge (motor interferes with outlet opening of housing)
 CW rotation: Motor position “W” NOT ALLOWED
 CCW rotation: Motor position “Z” NOT ALLOWED
THD discharge (Height restriction – motor may not fit below the discharge)
 CW rotation: Motor position “W”
 CCW rotation: Motor position “Z”
Arrangement 3F SWSI — Single Width, Single Inlet (Centrifugal)
Arrangement 3F is an Arrangement 3 with extended angle frame to mount the motor and horizontal
slide base as an assembly. Arrangement 3F is typically not suitable for mounting vibration isolators
 directly under the fan.
