Known for it’s young artist scene, Bushwick made headlines as New York’s new art centre. Similar to how Soho and Chelsea became as- sociated with art, Bushwick started to attract new talent as the next wave of artists in New York moves into cheaper neighborhoods. The area has seen a very recent boom, which is now dampened by the anticipated L train shutdown. Whether this will cost it it’s spot as art centre remains to be seen but is a concern that is present with young artists who moved to the area.
