Sebastian Bear travelled
from South Africa to meet a
Fire Bear who’d gained many
badges & some medals and
patches in his first few busy
months in public and before
his unique bear ‘character’
became the Official Mascot
soon after this 1997 photo
was taken. The replica that replaced him is also a much-
loved character and was made by Merrythought.
