It took a long time for ‘Blaze Bear TM ’ to be addressed as such
and ‘Blaze the Bear’ was used interchangeably until he was
formally adopted in December 1997. In July 1998 his name
became a registered trademark of the Charity for wherever it
was used and had to be followed by the initials TM
