Genizah
When sacred writings and ritual objects are no longer usable or become damaged, they are set aside in a Genizah (a reserved storage area) for burial in a Jewish cemetery. As a service for the community, Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home ensures the proper burial of these items from Synagogues and households. Please contact our funeral home if you have sacred items for our Genizah collection.
Items suited for burial may include:
• Prayer books and holy books
(Siddurim, Talmud, Midrash) Torah
Scrolls
• Tallis
• Tefillin
• Any writings with G-d’s name

• Membership to numerous State and National professional organizations, including active participation in their Executive Boards and Committees – allowing us to help develop new and better practices and policies, public health codes, State and Federal laws affecting the families we serve.
