The giant mortadella
The Veroni salami and ham factory was the first in Italy to produce large mortadella back in the 1930s. They are regularly produced in 80 kg, 100 kg, 200 kg and 350 kg sizes. The famous “Guinness” mortadella however, has no limit and is produced in sizes of 600 kg, 800 kg, 900 kg right up to the maxi mortadella of over 2 tonnes (2000 kg), which is regularly on show at the Cibus Food Exhibition in Parma. The workmanship that goes into producing a large mortadella is very unique and rigidly controlled following guidelines from traditional recipes, which have been refined over time. The pure pork mixture is worked following precise timings and specific cooking methods. The casings are carefully selected and sewn by hand by expert seamstresses. The delicate taste and pleasant aroma, which is fragrant and persistent when carving, make it appealing to every consumer. The sale of the giant mortadella is always a moment of great attraction in retail outlets throughout Italy. A real “event” that has always been the Veroni trademark.
The mortadella holder
The innovative Veroni mortadella holder with its unique and elegant design can be used both as a display and as a carving station, thanks to a removable and easy-to-clean Teflon cutting board. Functional, practical and compact, the Veroni mortadella holder can be positioned either inside the cockpit fridge, maximising the space available, or next to the cold cuts counter. It is made of certified material suitable for food contact and can support sizes of 25 or 50 kg.
