Salami with a long tradition
Present on Italian dining tables since time immemorial, the history of mortadella starts from long ago, and the recipe and the craftsmanship of its production have been preserved over time in the Veroni household. Made with selected cuts of pork and lard obtained from jowl bacon distributed evenly throughout the mixture, our mortadella has a consistency that is compact but crumbly at the same time, and is packed into carefully selected casings. This results in soft and fragrant, high quality cuts.
A timeless taste
The art of our master charcutiers’ teaches us that a long and carefully controlled cooking process produces a velvety and balanced taste with an unmistakable aroma. Larger mortadella is the best, because it requires a longer cooking time, which therefore enhances the taste and flavour of the meat. The use of high quality raw ingredients and the careful dosing of salt, pepper and spices create recipes and balances that are always different and meet the needs of all palates. This is what distinguishes all the various Veroni product lines.
PGI certification: assurance of quality
The indication Mortadella Bologna IGP (Protected Geographic Indication) is a guarantee for the consumer and a source of pride for Veroni, which has always invested in quality and craftsmanship. In fact, in order to obtain it you have to respect the original recipe, deposited at the Mortadella Bologna Consortium, without adding any polyphosphates, flavour enhancers or dyes. This serves as an additional check on the authenticity and safety of the product.
