in style, showing true friendship by spreading the word about KOEL across the ether to their followers. And a big thank you to our contributors who come from far-flung places scattered around the globe. They give KOEL
its unique international character. Finally, a loud hooray for our launch sponsors, who have known BloesemDesign.com for years but took a leap
of faith with Bloesem’s first print publication and entrusted us with their brands.
No debut issue is complete without festive treats. We kick off celebrations with free patterns on the KOEL website. Come to think of it, free access to online patterns will remain an imporant feauture of KOEL as we continue
to grow our in-house collection of unique yarn designs. Simply grab them
off the site and use them as often as you like. Don’t forget to pick up some ready to use yarn kits from our online store while you are at it. The yarn
kits include everything you need to make the designs we show in KOEL. With every first online order we include a special limited edition KOEL tote bag - for keeps. How’s that for a treat!
As a new media outfit, we could of course not resist the temptation to create an online KOEL community that we hope will make you even more curious and excited to join the yarn movement. Make sure to tag along as we continue our journey and get you in a crafty mood with big yarn ideas on KOEL’s social media feeds and website.
So, pick up your tools, get hooked, latch on and make your mark! -x- Irene Hoofs

ps. if you are still wondering about our name, KOEL means “cool” in Dutch (same pronunciation) and also combines four letters of my sons’ names Lode & Kiet. Pretty koel, hmm?
