HOW’S THE SHOP OWNING GAME TREATING YOU?
In my work as an interior designer, I come across so many beautiful things. And I was always saying, "oohh I want to open a shop just so I can sell this item and share it with the world." I had been saying this for years. Then, three years ago, I came across the brand Le Mont Saint Michel and I immediately fell in love with it. This was the trigger to open a shop for real. I really love to create my own world in the shop and make so many people happy with my collection.
WHAT'S FLYING OFF THE SHELVES?
Ah it’s difficult to pinpoint which are the hot favorites... They range from small booklets with fragrant paper that smell like heaven by Papier d'Arménie which almost every visitor buys, to the pretty and cleanly designed jewelry by Charlotte Wooning, or wonderful sweaters in linen or cashmere by Le Mont Saint Michel, that also lots of people love.
TELL US HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YARNS...
I love it! I used yarns many times in my work as an interior designer. Not because I'm a talented knitter (I'm not) but because it is a wonderful way of inspiring people to experiment with color and different textures. Works so much better than those paint stripes. Last year I stumbled upon a wonderful yarn concept ‘We Are Knitters’, that sells individual knitting packets which includes a pattern, the amount of wool you need for the pattern and the needles for it. I’m thrilled to say that I will be stocking them in my store! -x-
