There are different festivities in United States. Two of the most important festivities
are Halloween holiday and Thanksgiving holiday. Halloween and Thanksgiving are different

for many reasons. They differ on their origins, their objective and the activities to do on these

holidays.

Halloween holiday is celebrated the fourth Thursday of November. [First, it was
originated 2000 years ago. In addition, it is considered as a magical day in which people get

together with friends. Third, people use to do many things. For example, people like to dress
up and visit houses to get candies. Also, people decorate their houses with spiders, pumpkins

and scaring things. Finally, people eat lots of food made with pumpkins like pumpkin cakes,
pumpkin bread, pumpkin cereal, etc.]

In the other hand, thanksgiving holiday is celebrated on November 1th. [First, it is
different from Halloween because it was originated in the year 1620. Another difference,

Thanksgiving holiday is considered as a day to share with family. In addition, this day is
different because people use to do different things. On this day, people come along with their

families and they mainly thank for the things that they have. Finally, people celebrate this

day eating turkey, pie, etc.]

To sum up, Halloween and Thanksgiving holiday are different because of some
reason. Their origins are not the same. Halloween is a magical day with friends while

Thanksgiving is a day to share with family. Finally, people eat different things in those two
holidays and they do different activities.
