Whether it is for your floors,
walls, or as an accent,
tile takes your design’s
creativity to the next level
The Creativity of Tile Geometric Cement Tiles
If you’re looking for a bold-floor look that is sure to be the focus of any room,
encaustic tile is a perfect choice. These artistic tiles are made by dying cement
tiles with two or more colors using mineral pigments and a mold, creating a
beautiful and colorful design. Encaustic tile has a rich history, having been around
since medieval times and reaching their height in the 1700–1800s when the tiles
were able to be mass produced and became available to the general public.
England, which was the historic center of production, still has the greatest amount
of encaustic tile floors. When placed together on a floor, encaustic tiles create a
repeating pattern that pairs perfectly with neutral wall colors. This look blends
old-world style with modern colors and patterns into one unique and timeless tile.
Subway Tiles
Simple but chic, there’s a reason subway tile is a classic. From solid black or white
ceramic to natural stone, marble or glass, the ways you can utilize subway tiles in
your home are only limited by your imagination. Choose between beveled Essex
tiles or pillowed Monterrey tiles, depending on your style preference. We love them
in every room, but subway tile kitchen backsplashes and bathrooms are a couple of
our favorite ways to incorporate these rectangular tiles into your home. For a twist
on the classic, try using subway tiles in an unexpected color to add more interest.
