   From Page to Stage                           2.30pm
   Playwright Joan Rosier–Jones says, ‘It’s magical watching
   characters come alive on stage. Also, the magic demonstrates
   the difference between literature and drama.’ Joan discusses
   the process that takes a text to production with director, Kerry
   Girdwood. They have worked together on three plays and will
   share their combined experiences with the audience.

   Kafka – “If the book we’re reading doesn’t wake us up with a blow
   to the head, what are we reading it for?”
   Join local writers Emma Bugden, Kiran Dass, Paul Brooks, Chris
   Moisa and Whitney Cox as they argue Kafka’s case and, under
   the watchful eye of Emma Bugden, discuss how it relates to their
   own work.
