Hose rupture valves
• Protects personnel and the environment from damage caused by
the hose bursting and whipping around
• The air supply is suddenly interrupted by the hose guard when the
air flow rate exceeds a certain value. The maximum permissible vo-
lume flow is selected in a manner that ensures normal use of com-
pressed air tools. In the case of a failure, the hose break fuse blows
off from a small nozzle. Once the hose breakage has been correc-
ted, the hose breakage fuse can be reset to 0.
• Changing the tube diameter and / or the tube length also changes
the closing point of the valve
• Meets DIN ISO 4414 and EN 983 § § 5.4.5.11.1 5.3.4.3.2

If the failure of a hose line poses a risk of leakage of the pressure medium the hose or conduit must be shielded.
If the failure of a hose line poses the risk of whipping or causes the pressure medium to leak, the hose must be held or shielded.

Select the correct hose rupture valve
1. Specify the internal diameter of the hose (blue diagonal line)
2. Specify the length of the hose
3. Note the amount of air required the device to be connected, which is in use.
4. Bsp: red point.
Here a 10 m hose and 8 mm inner diameter intersects at a volume flow of approximately 1,000 Nl / min.
For security reasons, always select the next smallest diameter, in this case 3/8”.
