Areas of use and application – Primers

1K-Primer
1K-Resin Primer As anti-corrosive primer and intermediate painting of steel, cast iron, sheet metal, e.g. vehicle frames, metal
construction, bridges structures, metal containers, etc.. Can as well be used as transport coating in steel
construction (minimum layer thickness 40 µm).
1K-Universal Primer As primer filler and bonding agent for the compensation of steel, aluminium or zinc surfaces and still highly
adhesive old paints. For a quick, high-quality and low-cost repair.

2K-Primer

2K-Universal Primer As a bonding agent in case of technically difficult substrates with regard to painting such as, aluminium, zinc,
copper, brass, as well as for plastics. As a primer filler for compensating minor damages or grinding marks.
2K-Epoxy Primer As high-quality primer for mechanical engineering, boat building, in agriculture, for transporters of chemicals.
Perfectly suitable as a primer for aluminium superstructures like e.g. in the bus sector, as it can be levelled
out with another filler paste.
2K-HS-Filler For filling of polished finishes, factory primers or primed surfaces. As a base coat for different surfaces for
top automotive finishes.

1K-Synthetic Resin Primer L285

Highly covering anti-corrosive primer with excellent application
properties
• With anti-corrosive pigments
• Excellent rolling, painting and spraying properties
• Excellent flow
• Aromatic-free
Fields of application:
As an corrosion-protective primer and intermediate coating on steel,
cast metal and sheet metal e.g. vehicle frames, metal construction,
bridge structures, metal tanks etc. Can also be used as transport
coating in steel construction (minimum film thickness 40 µm).
Surfaces:
• Painted surfaces, bare sheet steel, wood, spackled surface
• Overpaintable only with synthetic resin paints (alkyd)
• Not suitable for galvanized and aluminium surfaces, cannot
be coated with polyester filler
• No reworkings with PU sealing compounds
• Not suitable for powder-coatings (temperatures too high)
Mixing:
• With resin-thinner R506 (Art.-Nr. 6130 1590)
• Thinning adjustment depending on layer thickness 10 - 15 %
Application equipment:
• Brush, roller or spray guns
• Spraying gun nozzle at least Ø 1.7 mm
• Breathing protection mask filter type A2/A2 P3 (Art.-No. 5403 6815)
Colours:
• Grey, red-brown
