Blue Sky Films were in Mombasa recently filming in Old Town. They gave us two very generous donations and when
they had finished filming they sold all the equipment that they no longer needed and gave the money to the KSPCA. We
were able to do quite a lot of work on their behalf at the hotel where they were staying, neutering the hotel cats and
taking care of some dogs in the area.

Claudia of The Sands at Nomads in Diani put on a great Triathlon and this time we didn’t get rained but it was very hot.
This was a fund raising event for the KSPCA and we are extremely grateful to her as she organizes this every year.

Our next fund raiser is the KSPCA/Vipingo Ridge Golf Event which is being held on the 26 April, 2020 up at Vipingo
Ridge Golf Club. This is one of our best fund raisers as we ‘sell’ 16 holes at K.Shs. 25,000/- each and the other 2 holes
at K.Shs. 40,000/-.

Every year the Ladies from the Lions Club ask us what we need – they are just wonderful. This year we decided that
we needed to renew the roof of the Clinic and Operating Theatre. We need 40 mabatis and 10 ‘hats’ to do this. They
have very kindly donated 25 mabatis so we still need another 15 plus the ‘hats’. It will be such a relief to get this done.

The mabati that came off the Office Block we are going to use on our Boarding Kennels and what is left over from that
will be used on some of the kennels. We actually do need more mabati as a lot of the kennels need to be dealt with.

During 2019 we admitted 226 dogs and 528 cats and we treated 413 dogs and 496 cats. We did 184 investigations
and did cat trapping at hospitals, hotels, the airport and the port etc.
